Directions
From Verlot, Drive east on the Mt. Loop Hwy. 7.0 miles to the Mallardy Road #4030. Turn right and follow this road for 1 mile to the junction with Road #4032. Turn right and follow this road to the end.
Location Information
The Mallardy Trail is a moderate 4.5 mile hike. The trail begins at the end of Mallardy Road #4030 and ends at Cutthroat Lakes. The trail enters an old growth forest of western hemlock and Pacific silver fir. After 1.5 miles, the trail opens up into meadows with scattered timber and an occasional rock talus. Continuing in elevation, the trail leads to Cutthroat Lakes. Good fishing is found in these lakes.
