From Alturas, This trail starts at the Pepperdine Trailhead, one hour from Alturas via County Road 56 and Parker Creek Road.
Location Information
This trail is located in the South Warner Wilderness. It is relatively flat, with open large meadows to the west. The trail is windswept in bad weather. It offers a beautiful view to the west and occasionally to the east. Water is available but not as abundant as on the Owl Creek Trail. Eagle Pass to Patterson Lake does not have much water. Pepperdine to Patterson Lake takes 4-5 hours.
