Directions
From Salyer, Take Hwy 299 West to turn left on South Fork Rd. continue 9.2 miles to where the pavement ends (this is the end of the county road). Continue south on Forest Rd. 5N03 for another 2.9 miles. The northernmost mile of trail is actually a 4x4 road and could be driven.
Location Information
This trail follows the South Fork of the Trinity River south for 7.5 miles. The fist section of the trail skirts the south and southwest facing bluff, overlooking the river. 3.5 miles from the trailhead, the trail crosses the river at a ford, this is a good place for a picnic or a swim. There is a swinging foot bridge, a great swimming hole, and a campsite at the end of the trail. Forest Service Rd. 4N13 is a good place to access the South end of the trail.

The northern -most mile of the trail is very narrow and situated on the bluff making it unsuitable for horses, care should be taken with small children. Some stream crossings may impassible during winter months.
