From Young, Travel south on State Highway #288, take the Reynolds Creek Road (FR #410) 2.5 miles to FR #235. Turn left and travel approximately one half mile to the Cienega Spring Trailhead. This trail can also be accessed from State Highway #288 at milepost #288. There is limited parking at this end of the trail.
Location Information
The Cienega Trail offers views of scenic Reynolds Creek Canyon. There are some old mining activity sites on this trail. Some of these mining structures on or near this trail are dangerous, use caution around this areas. The trail can be used year round, except when closed by snow. Animal life includes the black bear, whitetail and mule deer, elk, mountain lion and wild turkey. Vegetation includes Ponderosa pine, juniper, fir, Gamble Oak, manzanita and scrub oak. There is water and campsites at Cienega Spring Trailhead.
