Directions
From Young, Travel south on State Route #288 about 20 miles to Workman Creek Road (FR #487). Turn east onto FR 487 and drive 5.5 miles to the Carr Trailhead. The Rim Trail is approximately 1 mile down the Parker Creek Trail.
Location Information
Along this trail are very scenic views looking southward from this trail. This trail is in Ponderosa Pine forest, with Douglas fir, white fir and Gamble oak. Wildlife includes whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, black bear, cougar and wild turkey. This trail is in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness and wilderness regulations apply.
