Location Information
GENERAL INFORMATION: Middle Sespe Trail, is an easy eight mile hiking trail, but narrow in places. Drive to Beaver Campground, 17.5 miles north of Ojai on Highway 33. At the entry to the campground, park on the right. The trail begins to the east (right), downstream. For the first mile, follow the old road, then the trail leaves the Sespe River and starts climbing over a steep bluff. Once you have reached the high point, you will drop down and cross Rock Creek. The trail parallels the Sespe until it reaches Lion Campground. During September 1991, most of the area the trail travels through was burned by an escaped campfire.
