Directions
From Kaibab Plateau Visitor Center, Turn right off AZ 67 on FR 461, 0.3 mile south of Kaibab Plateau Visitor Center. Go 5.5 miles west on FR 461 to FR 462; go right for 3 miles to the intersection of FR 22. Turn left for about 2 miles, turn right onto FR 423; continue of FR 423 for 3 miles to the junction of FR 235, turn right and go 7 miles to join FR 423 again, turn right and go 4 miles to the trailhead. FR 423 and 235 require a high clearance vehicle.
Location Information
This trail provides access through the entire length of Slide Canyon. For a portion of its length, the trail runs down the rocky canyon bottom. The trail enter Kanab Creek Wilderness 2 2/3 miles from the trailhead at Slide Elbow Tank and meets trail #59 (Snake Gulch-Kanab Creek Trail), near the confluence of Snake Gulch and Kanab Creek.
