From Enumclaw, Drive 20.3 miles east on State Hwy. 410 to Greenwater Road #70. Turn left onto FR #70 and continue for 8.6 miles to the trail sign. Turn right onto FR #7033. The trailhead is on the right after 0.5 mile. Travel on the Greenwater Trail #1176 for 7.6 miles to the southern end of Echo Lake and the beginning of the Arch Rock Trail.
Location Information
Arch Rock Trail is a strenuous 3.1 mile hike or horseback ride. The trail begins at 3,900 feet at the junction with Greenwater Trail #1176 and ends at 5,950 feet at the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail.The entire trail is within the Norse Peak Wilderness. From the southern end of Echo Lake, the trail crosses the Greenwater River at mile 0.1 and heads north around the eastern side of Echo Lake. The eastern side of the Echo Lake offers a campsite at 0.3 mile. From this point, the trail starts to climb very steep grades. At mile 2.4, there is a campsite and a creek. The trail then connects with the Pacific Crest Trail at mile 3.1.
