From Beaver Creek, Travel 36 miles east on I-70 to the second Frisco exit (#203). Turn right at the exit, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to the picnic ground located on the right (east) side of the road next to the Heaton Bay Campground.

The Heaton Bay Picnic Ground sits along Dillon Reservoir, between Frisco and Dillon. It is adjacent to Heaton Bay Campground.
