From Sierra City, Travel northeast on Hwy. #49 for approximately 4 miles, turn left onto Gold Lake Hwy. Travel approximately .5 miles and the picnic ground will be on the left.
Location Information
Sand Pond Picnic Ground is located 1.5 miles north of Bassets at an elevation of 5,800 feet. This picnic ground is near Sand Pond and has 16 sites with tables and stoves. There are toilets, potable water and dressing rooms on site. Supplies are available at Bassets.
