From Truckee, Travel east on Hwy. #80 for approximately 4 miles and turn left onto County Route #894 at Boca. Travel north for approximately 6.5 miles. The road will turn into County Route #270. Turn left onto County Route #261 and travel for approximately 1.5 miles to the picnic ground on the right.
Location Information
Stampede Vista Picnic Ground is located on the south shore of the Stamped Reservoir at an elevation of 6,000 feet. This picnic ground has tables, bbq's toilets and potable water. Pay phones are also available. There is a scenic overlook of the Reservoir, where wildlife can sometimes be viewed.
