From Craig, Travel 13 miles north on State Highway 13, then eight miles east on FDR 112 to Freeman Reservoir.
Location Information
Freeman Reservoir Picnic Ground is located about 21 miles north of Craig, near Freeman Reservoir, at an elevation of 8,800 feet. The picnic area has 6 sites available which offer tables, and grills. There is a fishing pier, a boat ramp and trash collection. Drinking water and toilets are available at the campground which sits adjacent to the picnic area. This picnic area has handicapped accessible sites. There is a $3.00 use fee for the area.

Fishing is available on Freeman Reservoir but no motor-propelled water craft, including electric or internal combustion engines are permitted on Freeman Reservoir. This area accesses several mountain bike, horse and hiking trails. No motorized trails are accessible from this campground.
