Location Information
Lake Isabel Picnic Grounds (Day Use) are located in the Lake Isabel Recreation
Area. They are situated due west of Lake Isabel within a short walk of the shoreline. The facilities in the picnic grounds were remodeled in 1992 and are in excellent condition.

The picnic grounds consist of 35 individual family, walk-in picnic sites. Each
site contains a table and a standing grill. Several oversized tables are provided for larger family gatherings and many of the sites are fully handicapped accessible. Drinking water is supplied by a piped water system and by wells with hand pumps. Trash collection is by (2-cubic yard) dumpsters on site. Sanitation facilities include 8 single-vault toilets. The day use and parking areas have an average use rate of 50% for the normal operating season.

Other amenities and attractions include a wheelchair-accessible trail to Lake
Isabel and a fishing pier designed for people with disabilities. Nearby
opportunities include lake and stream fishing, hiking and biking trails.
