Location Information
Chapman Campground and Picnic Ground is located adjacent to the Fryingpan River. If you are an angler, the lower Fryingpan is classified as a gold medal water by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. There is also a small reservoir located within the campground. The campground is located in a beautiful setting. It is at the base of a wide valley and is surrounded by, and filled with, lodgepole pine trees. It is located 38 miles east of Carbondale at an elevation of 8,800 ft. .
