From Basalt, 29 miles east of Basalt, CO up the Frying Pan Rd, County Rd 104
Location Information
Chapman Campground and Picnic Ground is located adjacent to the Fryingpan River. If you are an angler, the lower Fryingpan is classified as a gold medal water by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. There is also a small reservoir located within the campground. The campground is located in a beautiful setting. It is at the base of a wide valley and is surrounded by, and filled with, lodgepole pine trees. It is located 38 miles east of Carbondale at an elevation of 8,800 ft.
