Location Information
Italian creek joins the Taylor River from the west just north of Pothole Reservoirs in North Taylor Park. The headwaters start near 11,700 feet above the Star Mine (private) and flow easterly. As with most drainages in Taylor Park, the region includes open cattle range. Beaver Ponds intermix with this three to four-foot wide stream. Italian Creek supports brook, brown and rainbow trout and the fishing is rated as excellent. Heavy willows and marshy spots make shore fishing difficult.
