Directions
From Leadville, From Leadville travel south on US Hwy 24 to the junction of Colorado Highway 82. Travel west approximately 4 miles to Lake County Road 24. Turn left before you reach the visitor center. This access road will bring you to the northern shore of Twin Lakes Reservoir, where you will have access to Whistler Point and Big Mac Fishing Sites.
Location Information
The standard limit of fish allowed from Twin Lakes Reservoir is as follows: 8 trout; 1 mackinaw, under 22 or over 34 inches. The reservoir is stocked with rainbow trout. Native species in the lake include brook, brown, cutthroat and a few kokanee salmon. Visitors will find fair to good fishing.

Other fishing sites for Twin Lakes are as follows: Mt. Elbert Power Plant, Deception Point, Praying Angel, Dexter Point, Red Rooster, Moache, Sunnyside (East & West), Mountain View and Big Mac. These sites are restricted to day-use only and close at 10:00 p.m.
