Directions
From Big Stump Entrance, Drive north on Highway 180 toward Cedar Grove. Take the right side of the fork before reaching the area and look for Sheep Creek Campground on the left (northern) side of the road. Mileage is approximately 30 miles from Big Stump to Sheep Creek.
Location Information
Sheep Creek Campground lies at 4,600 feet along the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway. The site encompasses 111 individual campsites that are available on a first come, first served basis. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire pit and grill and a bear-proof food container. Campground amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. Facilities and services available in Cedar Grove Village include, dining facilities, showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, pay phones, a ranger station and riding stables. Recreation opportunities from this campground include scenic driving, hiking, backpacking, stock packing and fishing.
