From Camarillo, Campers must secure passage to Anacapa Island before making camping reservations. Year-round public transportation is available through the park concessionaire Channel Island Aviation.
Location Information
The Anacapa Campground lies on the eastern islet west of the museum, ranger station and landing site. A walk of one half mile, and 154 stairs, is necessary to reach the campground from the landing. Reservations are required to use this and all camping facilities in Channel Islands National Park. Anacapa Campground consists of seven individual campsites, that can accommodate up to 30 people. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and pit toilets are available on site. No fires are permitted on Anacapa Island. Visitors must pack out all garbage, as there are no receptacles on the island. If the campground is filled to capacity conditions will be crowded as the sites lie close to one another.
