From Gulfport, Take Highway 49 north from Gulfport (14 miles) to De Soto Park Road. Turn west and travel 1/2 mile to campground.
Location Information
The banks of the Big Biloxi River are the setting for this recreation site near the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The area provides a cool refreshing experience from cities nearby. There is a 1-mile nature trail. The river is an excellent place to fish. An open field is available for such activities as softball, volleyball, and other sports.

Camping facilities include 25 camping units. 17 sites have water and electric hookups. There is a dump station and a bathhouse with hot showers. Additional facilities in the recreation area include a picnic area with a pavilion and a telephone.

Handicapped Accessibility: This area has paved roadways, access routes, and parking areas. Three campsites (3,7 and 19) are fully accessible. All other sites are surfaced with loose pea gravel. The restrooms are fully accessible. Overall, Big Biloxi is an accessible recreation area.
