Directions
From Beaver Creek, Travel 35 miles east on I-70 to the first Frisco exit (#201). Turn right and drive through Frisco to Hwy 9. Turn right on Hwy. 9 and travel about 4 miles to Swan Mountain Road, on the east side of Dillon Reservoir. Turn left on Swan Mountain Road and go about 3 miles to the Swan Mountain Recreation Area. A dirt road leads to the campground.
Location Information
Prospector Campground is located between Keystone and Breckenridge, on Swan Mt. Rd. The campground sits near Dillon Reservoir at an elevation of 9,120 feet. Reservation sites are found on the D and E Loops, the other loops are first-come, first-serve. A handicapped accessible site is available. Campground and additional vehicle fees are charged.

Facilities and Services:

Prospector Campground, the largest on the Dillon Ranger District, has 107 camping sites. It has vault toilets, water, and garbage service.

Handicapped Accessibility:

Prospector Campground has one handicapped accessible campsite and toilet. The campsite is located in Loop C, site 39.
