Location Information
INTRODUCTION
The campground is located in a forested setting beside an alpine meadow with views of the Gore Range. The Holy Cross Wilderness Boundary is just north of the campground.

At the end of Tigiwon Road, 2 miles further, there are 2 trailheads into the Holy Cross Wilderness: Half Moon Pass and Fall Creek Trails. Both trails start above 10,000 feet. Back down Tigiwon Road is Cross Creek Trailhead (about 4.5 miles back). This trail follows the Cross Creek drainage and is less strenuous than the other 2 trails.

There are no creeks nearby for fishing. Cross Creek Trail provides fishing access after a short hike. For the physically fit, Lake Constantine is a 5 mile hike up Fall Creek Trail. The fishing in this lake is fair to good.

Tigiwon Lodge is near the campground. Originally built as a shelter for those traveling to Mount of the Holy Cross, the lodge is available for reservations. Contact the Holy Cross Ranger District at 970-827-5715.
