From Fryeburg, ME, Travel 15 miles north along SR 113 to reach both campgrounds.
Location Information
Basin Campground and Cold River Campground lie along the Maine state line off SR 113 at an elevation between 1,000 and 1,500 feet. One of the most popular trails in the area is Basin Trail because is leads to the beautiful Hermit Falls. Both sites offer boating, hiking, coldwater fishing opportunities and are handicapped accessible. Basin Campground has flush toilets and Cold River has vault facilities. Twelve sites at Cold River are large enough to accommodate RVs.
