Directions
From Taft, Travel eight miles south on Highway 33. Continue south for 13 miles after Highway 33 joins Highway 166. Turn south to stay on Highway 33 and travel about 20 miles, turn left (east) onto Lockwood Valley Road and travel about 17 miles east to Grade Valley Road (FS 7N03). The campground is located about seven miles south of Lockwood Valley Road along the Thorn Meadows Road (FS 7N03C).
Location Information
GENERAL INFORMATION: Thorn Meadows campground has 3 stoves and can be used for an overnight starting point for a trail trip. Four wheel drive is strongly advised for gaining access to this campground. Water is available from the creek from the creek at the Thorn Meadows campground (purify). There is no water along this trail so stock up.
