Directions
From Taft, Travel eight miles south on Highway 33. Continue south for 13 miles after Highway 33 joins Highway 166. Turn south to stay on Highway 33 and travel about 20 miles, turn left (east) onto Lockwood Valley Road and travel about 17 miles east to Grade Valley Road (FS 7N03). The trailhead is located about seven miles south of Lockwood Valley Road along the Thorn Meadows Road (FS 7N03C). The camp is located approximately 2 miles west on Cedar Creek Trail from Thorn Meadows Road or twelve miles from Grade Valley Road via Fishbowls Trail by foot or horseback.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Located approximately 2 miles west on Cedar Creek Trail from Thorn Meadows Road, or 12 miles from Grade Valley Road via Fishbowls Trail by foot or horseback. Cedar Creek has become one of the most popular trail camps on the district, owning to its easy accessibility and pleasant surroundings. Deriving its name from the stately California Incense Cedars growing in the area, Cedar Creek has numerous Jeffery Pine, Sugar Pine, Big Cone Douglas Fir and hardwoods which add to the overall beauty of the site. There are 3 stoves. Water is available from the creek, but not recommended for drinking without purifying first. Nearest supplies are in Lake of the Woods, approximately 20 miles from the trailhead.
