Location Information
Juanita Lake Campground is located west of Macdoel on US 97. The campground sits at the edge of 55-acre Lake Juanita at an elevation of 5,100 ft. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout and has a bass and catfish population. There are no motors allowed on the lake, however its size makes it ideal for rowboats, rafts, and canoes. There are two fishing jetties which provide easy, barrier-free access to the lake.

The campground has 23 family sites and one group site which is available by reservation only. Drinking water and trash removal are available from May through October, during which time there is a fee for camping. The campground may be accessible beyond these dates, although services are limited. Juanita Lake Campground is accessible to people with disabilities.

In addition to fishing opportunities, there is a 1.5 mile paved, barrier free trail that circles Juanita Lake and, for the more ambitious hiker, a six mile hike with 2,700 foot elevation climb to Ball Mountain Lookout. Although access to the lake is limited in the winter to snowmobilers, snowshoers, and nordic skiers, there is ice fishing on the lake and skiing in the surrounding area. Some track set and grooming is provided at the junction of Meiss Lake Road and the north end of Juanita Lake Road.
