Directions
From Weaverville, Travel north on Hwy. 3 to Coffee Creek (36 miles). turn west onto Coffee Creek Rd (County Hwy104). Follow this road for about 18 miles to the campground.
Location Information
Big Flat Campground is located west of Coffee Creek Guard Station at an elevation of 5,760 ft. This site is the starting point for hikes to Preacher's Peak, Caribou Mountain ridgeline, and the associated lakes. The campground has 9 family sites. There is no fee for overnight camping, nor is there potable water or trash removal at this campground. Due to the high elevation of the campground, access is usually delayed until later in the summer. There are ample opportunities here for both fishing and hiking.
