Directions
From Adin, Leave west on Co. Rd. #87 and go approx. 10 miles. Turn north on Co. Rd. #91 and go approx. 19 miles. Turn west on Forest Service Road #56 for approx. 11 miles. Take Forest Service Road 42N23 south and go approx. 7 miles to the entrance for Lava Camp.
Location Information
This is an isolated, rocky, and dry area for camping. It is located on the edge of the Long Bell State Game Refuge about 30 miles northwest of Adin. The campground is at an elevation of 4,400 feet.

There are 12 sites that can accommodate up to 32 foot RVs. Vault toilets are located at the campground. Picnic tables and fire pits are at each site. There is NO potable water available.

The nearest food, gasoline, and restaurant are located in the town of Bieber, California. The nearest 24 hospital is located in the town of Fall River Mills, California.
