From Adin, Located 7.5 miles northeast of Adin on Highway 299 to Alturas. The campground is about 1.5 miles off the highway on a dirt road.
Location Information
Upper Rush Creek Campground is in an easily accessible location a quarter of the way from Adin to Alturas. Upper Rush Creek Campground is about 3.5 miles off highway 299 and offers more shade than Lower Rush Creek, but the creek runs through the campground providing a peaceful setting. There is some fishing available at the site.

The campground has 13 sites to offer. There is drinking water available throughout the campground. At each campsite, there is a picnic table and a fire pit. The campground also has vault toilets and limited garbage collection. Road conditions are fair, so vehicles pulling trailers are not recommended for this campground
