Directions
From Payson, Travel 1.5 miles north to the junction of State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) and Forest Route 199 (Houston Mesa Road) . Turn east on Forest Road 199 for .10 mile. The campground is located on the north and south sides of the road.
Location Information
Houston Mesa Campground, with an elevation of 5200 feet hosts 75 camping units with tables and a grill in each. Interpretive programs are presented in an amphitheater at various times Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. The area is studded with trees and the Houston Mesa Interpretive Trail nearby.
