Directions
From Payson, Travel east on State Highway #260 to the Young Road (FR #512). Turn south on this road and travel three miles and turn left onto FR #33. Follow this road for 5 miles to the campground.
Location Information
This campground of dispersed units is set in a mature stand of Ponderosa Pines with a mix of both White and Douglas fir. Deciduous trees in the area include oak, maple, New Mexico Locust and boxelder. The Arizona Game and Fish Department's Canyon Creek Fish Hatchery is nearby. The Hatchery is open to the public and offers a self-guided tour of the facility. Canyon Creek is popular among anglers fishing for Rainbow Trout. Wildlife include the Abert squirrel, black bear, mountain lion, elk, deer and wild turkey. The Canyon Creek area is restricted to artificial flies and lures.

Facilities at the campground include two vault toilets and an undefined number of dispersed campsites.
