Directions
From Lone Pine, Travel west about three miles on Whitney Portal Rd (FS 15207). Turn south (left) onto State Hwy 190 and continue for about 15 miles to the campground.
Location Information
Located south of Lone Pine on State Hwy 190, the Cottonwood Lakes area provides terrific trail access into the Golden Trout Wilderness Area. Mulkey Pass, Trail Pass, Poison and Horseshoe Meadows, Cottonwood Pass, and Chicken Spring Lake are all within a day's hike of the Cottonwood Lakes. This walk-in campground offers 12 sites with restrooms, water, and a pack station. There is a fee for camping here.
