Directions
From Lone Pine, Travel west about three miles on Whitney Portal Rd (FS 15207). Turn south (left) onto State Hwy 190 and continue for about 15 miles to the campground.
Location Information
The Golden Trout Backpacker Campground lies southwest of Lone Pine at an elevation of 10,000 feet. This area is a terrific access point into the Golden Trout Wilderness. It offers 18 sites with drinking water and restrooms as well as parking for the Golden Trout Trailhead. There is a $6 fee for overnight use of this area.
