Directions
From Lone Pine, Travel north on US 395 for approximately 13-14 miles to the town of Independence and FS 13S17. Turn west onto this road and continue for roughly 10 miles.
Location Information
Onion Valley is a relatively high camp at 9,200 ft. There are 29 sites with direct trail access into the John Muir Wilderness, California Bighorn Sheep Zoological Area, and Sequoia National Park. The campground has a pack station and drinking water is provided. There is a fee for overnight use of the area.
