Directions
From Pasadena, Travel Interstate 210 south, exit Santa Anita Avenue and drive north 6 miles to Chantry Flat Picnic Area. Hike in four miles to Campground.
Location Information
FACILITIES: There are seven sites with tables, stoves and vault toilets. There is no piped water, seasonal stream nearby (treat before using). Campfire Permits required. Fires allowed in stoves when Fire Restrictions are not in effect. Amenities: Shady Canyon Trail leads to Mt. Wilson, where all the TV stations have broadcasting equipment, and to Mt. Wilson Observatory and museum. A privately-owned pack station and small store are also located at Chantry Flat.
