From Placerville, Take Highway 50 east for 28 miles. The site is located on the South Fork of the American River.
Location Information
Sitting at an elevation of 3,900 feet Sand Flat Campground can be located 27 miles east of Placerville. In addition to offering camping facilities, the site provides close access for fishing and swimming on the South Fork of the American River.On site facilities: 29 camping units ( 1 double unit ), drinking water, picnic tables and vault toilets. There is a grocery store, gas station and restaurant within five miles of the area.
