Springer Gulch Campground is located approximately five miles southwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. This campground consists of 15 family campsites. The campsites each include a table, fire grate and parking spur. Campground facilities include drinking water, garbage collection and vault toilets. The nearest public telephone is located at Lake George, about five miles from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located at Lake George.The campground is located on the South Platte River within 21 miles of Elevenmile State Recreation Area and Reservoir and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Recreation opportunities include: fishing (on the River's Gold Medal Waters) and the Reservoir; hiking, biking, horseback riding, motorcycling and four-wheel driving.
