From Lake George, Blue Mountain Campground is located approximately 1 mile southwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. Visitors may reach this campground by taking County Road 96 south from Lake George for 1/2 mile to County Road 61. The campground is located approximately 1/4 mile from the entrance to Elevenmile Canyon, south on County Road 61.
Location Information
Blue Mountain Campground is located approximately one mile southwest of the small town of Lake George, Colorado. This campground consists of 21 individual family campsites with a maximum RV length of 35 feet. The campsites each include a table, fire grate and parking spur. Drinking water, garbage collection and vault toilets are provided on site. The nearest public telephone is located in Lake George, about one mile from the campground. The nearest fire and emergency services are also located in Lake George.

The campground is located on the South Platte River within 21 miles of Elevenmile State Recreation Area and Reservoir and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Recreation opportunities include: fishing (on the River's Gold Medal Waters) and the Reservoir; hiking, biking, horseback riding, motorcycling and four-wheel driving.
