From Meeker, Take State Highway 13 east out of town for one mile. Turn right onto County Road 8 and go 39 miles. Turn right onto Trappers Lake Road and go 6 miles to the campground.
Location Information
The Himes Peak Campground is located 47 miles east of Meeker, along the North Fork of the White River, at an elevation of 9,500 feet. The campground offers nearby fishing in the North Fork, Big Fish Creek and Rainbow Lake as well as several other nearby streams and lakes. The Boulder Lake Trail #2262, and Big Fish Trail #1819, begin near the campground. Facilities: Himes Peak Campground has 11 campsites. Facilities include tables, fire grates, barbeque grates and toilets. Drinking water and trash disposal service is available.
