From Yampa, Travel S/SW on County Rd 7 for approximately 7 miles to FDR 900. Follow FDR 900 for approximately another 3 miles to 13 miles. Sites are located along this 10 mile stretch of FDR 900.
Location Information
The Bear River Designated Dispersed Campsites stretch along the Bear River and Forest Road 900 for about 10 miles. The campsites are located from 10 to 20 miles southwest of Yampa. There are three reservoirs located in this scenic valley, Stillwater, Yamcolo, and Yampa.Facilities: There are 32 dispersed sites spread out along the valley. The campsites have fire grates. Trash collection and a restroom are located at the Yamcolo boat ramp.
