From Florence, From Jct Rte 67 & Rte 50, go 14.6 mi. to Wetmore, right onto Rte 96 west for 9.4 mi., left on Rte 165 south for 11.4 mi.
Location Information
Davenport Campground is located approximately six miles north of Lake Isabel Recreation Area off Highway 165. Turn right on Forest Road 382 and take it 2 miles to the campground. Forest Road 382 is a single lane, aggregate surfaced road with passing turnouts. Davenport has an average use rate of 35% during the normal operating season.the campground consists of 12 family camping units which are primarily suited for walk-in tent camping. Only three sites have attached parking spurs which will accommodate small trailers or RVs. The facilities in this campground are in fair condition. Sanitation is provided by two double-unit vault toilets. Drinking water is supplied by two deep wells with hand pumps. Trash is collected with contractor -owned dumpsters. Attractions at this campground include nearby hiking, biking or motorized trails, a babbling brook running through the campground and stream fishing.
