Directions
From Steamboat Springs, Travel 18 miles southeast on US Highway 40 toward Rabbit Ears Pass. The campground is located on the south side of the highway, between the east and west summits of the pass.
Location Information
Walton Creek Campground is located 18 miles southeast of Steamboat Springs on U.S. Highway 40, on Rabbit Ears Pass. This campground is a small, cozy area close to the highway, at an elevation of 9,400 feet. It is best suited to tent or small trailers. There is access to stream fishing from the campground and other nearby areas, along with hiking to Walton Peak via Forest Roads 302 and 251. These roads are also excellent for mountain biking.

Facilities:

The campground has 14 campsites with tables and fireplace grates, a water system (seasonal), vault toilets, and pull-thru trailer spaces with a maximum length of 22 feet.
