Directions
From Sierra City, Travel northeast on Hwy. #49 for approximately 4 miles, turn left onto Gold Lake Hwy. Travel 5 miles north and the campground will be on the right.
Location Information
Snag Lake Campground is located 5 miles north of Bassets at an elevation of 6,600 feet. This campground is adjacent to Snag Lake and has 16 undesignated campsites. There is space for small trailers and toilets, but no drinkable water. The fishing is fair to good at Snag Lake and other nearby lakes and there is hand-off boat launching only.
