From Crescent City, Take Hwy. 101 to the junction with Hwy. 199. Go east on 199 seven miles to turn right on South Fork Road. Stay left past the second bridge and continue on South Fork Road to mile post 14.1. Turn left on Forest Road 405 for .2 mile and left again on Road 15N59.
Location Information
Big Flat Campground on Hurdy Gurdy Creek is located 26 miles southeast of Crescent City off of South Fork Road. The 28 sites have vault toilets but no drinking water provided. Many points of river access at the campground and on the way in from South Fork Road along the South Fork River provide fishing opportunities. In spite of the minimal facilities RV's and trailers up to 25 feet are permitted.
