Directions
From Oakhurst, Take Highway 41 north out of town and follow this road for approximately 11 miles until you reach forest road 4S17 on the left. Take this road east for about three miles until you reach an intersection with forest road 5S09X to the left. Take this road for about a mile until you reach the campground.
Location Information
Summit Camp campground is located just off of state highway 41. It is less than a mile from the south entrance station for Yosemite National Park. Also located close by is the Goat Meadow Winter Recreation Area. To the south of this campground is the Nelder Grove Historical Area and to the north in Yosemite is the Mariposa Gove of Big Trees. There are numerous opportunities for fishing, swimming, and viewing the massive trees of the area. The campground's 10 sites have vault toilets and potable drinking water available to them.
