Directions
From South Fork, Follow forest road 81 north for 20 miles until you reach Mammoth Pool Road. This will take you to Mammoth Pool Reservoir. The campground is located about a half mile down this road.
Location Information
Located near the San Joaquin river and the banks of Mammoth Pool Reservoir, the campground sits at an elevation of 4300 feet, offers many recreation opportunities. The campground, which has 18 sites available, has vault toilets, but no potable water. There is a fee required to camp and reserve sites.

The lake allows for fishing, boating, and waterskiing. There are also many hiking trails around the lake. One of the campgrounds is only accessible by boat, making for an interesting camping trip. The lake is also on Minarets Road Scenic Byway so you can make a day trip out of it and visit one of the lake's picnic grounds.
