Location Information
Hermit Valley Campground sits in a large open area with scattered timber and rock outcrops. The North Fork of the Mokelumne River sits nearby. Campsites are available in lower Hermit Valley as well as at the upper (NE) end of Hermit Valley, at Grouse Flat. Fishing on the Mokelumne River available nearby.

The campsite has dispersed camping, three picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets and no water. Campfire permits are required at both locations. Gas, groceries and camping supplies are available in Bear Valley, Lake Alpine and Markleville. The closest services are in Markleville (east side of Ebbetts Pass, Alpine County).
