From Lake Alpine, Travel east on Highway 4 than turn south on a road just east of Chickaree Picnic Area.
Location Information
Silver Valley Campground sits in a timbered setting on the shores of Lake Alpine at 7,400 feet. It is located on the east end of Lake Alpine near Pine Marten Campground. The Lake Alpine Recreation Area provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including low-speed boating (boat launch available), fishing, hiking, and biking. Interpretive Programs are offered by Forest Service rangers during the summer months.

It has 21 campsites (mostly tent sites), tables, fireplaces, piped water and flush toilets. Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph'sHospital in San Andreas (Hwy. 49). Gas, groceries, camping supplies are available in Bear Valley and at Lake Alpine Lodge. Public (fee) showers available at Lake Alpine Lodge.
