From Dorrington, Travel northeast on Highway 4 until you are two miles west of Lake Alpine adjacent to Lodgepole Overflow Campground.
Location Information
Lodgepole Group site is a large, open, flat undeveloped area two miles west of Lake Alpine off of Highway 4. The Lake Alpine Recreation Area provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including low-speed boating (boat launch available), fishing, hiking, and biking. Interpretive Programs are offered by Forest Service rangers during the summer months.

It accomodates up to 100 people, vault toilets and water. Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Hwy. 49). Gas, groceries and camping supplies are available in Bear Valley and at Lake Alpine Lodge. Public (fee) showers are also available at Lake Alpine Lodge.
