Directions
From Almont, Drive north on Highway 135 from Almont to Taylor Canyon Road (Forest Road 742). Turn right on to Taylor Canyon road and travel 32.5 miles to Dinner Station Campground. Taylor Canyon Road changes to improved dirt immediately after the turn off for Cottonwood Pass Road.
Location Information
Dinner Station Campground is used primarily by four-wheel drive enthusiasts. It is located 3.75 miles north of Taylor Reservoir on Taylor River Road. Several fishing sites line the banks of the Taylor River near the campground. The Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area lies 4 miles east of this campground. To access the wilderness area users of Dinner Station Campground must leave the site and drive north to Red Mountain Road or south to Pieplant Mill Road.
