Directions
From Parlin, From Parlin on Highway 50 turn northeast on to State Road 76. Travel several miles, at least 10, to the mining village of Ohio. When you reach Ohio turn left on to Forest Road 711.1, Gold Creek Road. Travel approximately 7 miles to Gold Creek Campground.
Location Information
Gold Creek Campground provides access to hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing and four-wheel driving. The site lies next to the southeastern boundary of the Fossil Ridge Wilderness Area. This natural area is a haven for hikers, backpackers and equestrians. (No mechanized or motorized vehicles are permitted within its boundaries.) Several alpine lakes lie near the Gold Creek Campground, and allow anglers to fish in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountain highlands.
